Admission Overview

Profile of the Graduate School of Film Producing

The Graduate School of Film Producing offers a two-year graduate-level program for the specialized training of movie and other visual producers as well as visual content professionals. Those completing the program earn master’s degrees.
The campus is located in the Nishi-Shinjuku quarter of Tokyo and provides classes at night and on weekends. This affords students the convenience and ability to pursue graduate-level studies while continuing to work during the day. The program’s hands-on curriculum is rooted in a global perspective and enables students to learn through a strategic educational balance of the humanities and practical professional knowledge. Both of these areas are recognized as indispensable for the production and distribution of visual content capable of winning over international audiences.

There are two primary subjects of study that are considered critical for those determined to succeed in the visual content field: business-related subjects that reflect the latest trends in the industry and diversified and advanced cultural studies. The program's curriculum marshals these two subjects to address a wide range of career planning needs.

  • Structured to cover a rich array of business stages, from planning and development through organizational management
  • Highly flexible curriculum that can be tailored to specific career plans and backgrounds
